Simple Date Night Look- Weekend Edition

This morning I woke up feeling fresh, relaxed and well rested. I will be honest, I was going to wait until my vacation ended to post something new on the blog. But today I had such a positive energy that couldn’t be put to waste. So without any holding back I poured myself a cup of tea, put my cleansing face mask on and got my pictures together.

The look that I put together I felt is perfect for date nights with your girls or that special someone. I believe this look is simple enough and current enough that any girl from any background and size can pull off. (Not to mention it is SIMPLE). The best part about these pieces are you can mix and match them with other stuff in your closet. And yes I am one those people that still wears my leather jacket in the summer time. The jacket was last seasons look from the Gap, but the rest of the outfit is current.

As always thank you for stopping by and see you all next week. Enjoy the pictures…. Details below.

Weekend Looks For The Lazy Girl

As many of you all know by now following my blog  I don’t wear much jewelry. I mean I put  the occasional rings here and there to give a little pop to my outfits, but aside from that I tend to be very minimalistic— (is that even a word)  when I accessorize.

I legit struggle between doing my makeup or hair each and every morning, and usually opt-out on makeup and brush my hair. Truthfully I never got into the contouring phase that was in the makeup scene. I seriously couldn’t be bothered with that, taking 45 minutes to do makeup was never on my life plan. Matter of fact getting dressed like an adult wasn’t part of it either, but we must choose our battles as we age (lol). Aside from all that I manage to put some simple looks together that can go from day to night during the weekend. I paired the three looks with heels, or wedge heels, but you can totally wear them with flats shoes. All the looks are on a BUDGET too (Now you all know BUDGET is my FAV current word when it comes to shopping).

Hope you enjoy the looks. Leave a comment and let me know which one was your favorite. If you have any ideas on how the looks could have been done differently let me know.

As always thank you for stopping by and see you all next week.

Simple and Affordable Weekend Look

I put this outfit together for all the summer loving on the go weekenders. As many of us know weekends can sometime be just as hectic as the weekdays.  With all the personal errands and functions we attend I find that comfort and flexibility is much needed when the sun is out.  This whole outfit is perfect for a girl like me that has coffee to grab and shopping to be done before 2 PM. Lets be honest not all of us can wear heels and complete all their errands. (I’m not a superwoman yet).  🙁   But as you can see in the next pictures, I was able to take this outfit from a day look to an afternoon, summer evening look without even changing much.

After all of the running around is complete, you might want to put a simple grown up outfit together for some drinks at the patio. Sometime we are not able to change our clothes or do not have the time do so. But with a simple shoe and purse switch up,you can take your look from simple one to a cute evening/night summer look.  I played with the shirt in some of the pictures to make the shorts more noticeable.

Thanks so much of stopping by everyone——->>>> hope you like the rest of the pics; details below.

Have a great week 🙂 .

Day Look:

Evening/Night Look:

Top: H&M-Love this top cause it’s so breezy,

Shorts: H&M- Literally the most comfortable shorts ever- and wedgie free too LOL,

White Tote Bag: Kate Spade- This is my go to designer.. You can never go wrong with a nice leather tote bag. How else can you sneak in food inside the movie theaters?,

Blue Clutch: Aldo- I got this clutch on sale hoping it would come to good use one day…and look at GOD coming through,

Brown Sandal Heels: “Call it Spring”- These are so damn comfy and just perfect. The only advice I can give is to buy them a half size smaller cause they run a little big,

Adidas: Journeys- Like how can you go wrong with a classic shoe such as this. I can’t take all the credit though, I got this as a gift after mentioning them.  🙂

Men’s Button Down Meets Girls’ Night

For this series I decided to showcase a little bit of myself in regards to my fashion sense. Truth be told this was a last minute outfit decision. One of my girl friends wanted to have a girls’ night out on Monday, which a I was totally down for because it was a place we both been meaning to try out. Due to the fact that I haven’t been there before, I didn’t want to over dress or under dress.

I go through phases with my clothes—- it really depends on my mood. I don’t want to be predictable, because there is no fun in that. I also find that being a student that’s budgeting for classes as well as my lifestyle, I need to be able to have pieces that I can mix and match with the current stuff in my closet. Trust me if it’s cute enough you will want to where it again. Like the saying goes “don’t go broke trying to keep up with others”.

Personally, I don’t believe in having favorites anything. Because what ends up happening with that, people tend to overload you with that certain item when it comes to gift giving (unless its cheesecake ,then I’m totally cool with all of it).But aside from this look the food was great and the company was better.

Hope you enjoy the look and thank you for visiting—–details below.
